New Waterhouse site launched

To coincide with the opening of the Waterhouse retrospective in the Netherlands this weekend, the John William Waterhouse website has been revamped. Hopefully, the new design will make it easier to browse Waterhouse’s paintings and to find out the latest news about the Waterhouse exhibition and other events related to this artist.

Some of the new features available today include:

• Picture Search (Full site search will be available again once Google has re-indexed this website.)
  You can now search by one or more of the following picture attributes:
  • title (e.g. The Lady of Shalott)
  • medium (e.g. watercolour)
  • date (e.g. 1893)
  • location, (e.g. UK)
  • and picture orientation (e.g. vertical)
• The Waterhouse Wall
  A quick way to browse Waterhouse’s pictures!
• Current and Upcoming Exhibitions
  Courtesy of our sister site ArtMagick, you can now browse exhibitions which will include works by Waterhouse.
• Waterhouse Works Worldwide
  An interactive map has been added letting you see which museums and galleries own Waterhouse’s pictures.
