'Making The Lady of Shalott’s gowns' - from Pauline Loven about the WAG Screen production of Tennyson's poem
MESSAGE:
There is a wonderful posting at Pauline Loven's blog,
Period Wardrobe,
about the making of the gowns for the
WAG Screen production of
The Lady of Shalott.
Waterhouse's 1888
The Lady of Shalott and his 1915
"I am Half-Sick of Shadows", said the Lady of Shalott were inspiration for "clothes worn by The Lady of Shalott" in the dramatisation of Tennyson's poem.
Pauline Loven costumed and co-produced the film.
Read about her work on the film
here.
