News from Nowhere (or, Morris lost, DeMorgan Found

MESSAGE:
http://www.keepourmuseumsopen.org.uk Miserly Walthamstow council* showed the spirit of 'Christmas yet to come' by slashing funding for the William Morris Gallery and scrapping most of the full time posts essential to keep this monument to a significant Victorian artist functional. Meanwhile in Wandsworth, the Christmas elves located and returned a number of ceramic pieces by William DeMorgan stolen from the DeMorgan institute earlier this year. http://www.demorgan.org.uk/ You lose some, you win some. Ho Ho Ho Your humble and obedient servant, Nigel. In the city and county of Kingston upon Hull, on the feast day of St. Anthony the Hermit. (*) Infamous for sending thousands of books from their public libraries to be incinerated earlier this year. "where books burn, people are sure to follow".

The petition to save the William Morris gallery is being taken to Downing Street on January 21st.
