Brief Biography:DOLLMAN, John Charles, R.W.S., R.I., R.O.I., R.B.C., (1851-1934) Painter in oil and water-colour of historical subjects and genre. Born in Hove on 6th May 1851. Studied at the R.C.A. and at the R.A. Schools, where he won prizes for drawing from life and for historical painting. Exhibited at the R.A. from 1872. Elected A.R.W.S. 1906 and R.W.S. 1913.
