Brief Biography:

BALE, Edwin, R.I. (1838-1923)

Landscape and genre painter in water-colour. Born in London. Studied art at the R.C.A. and in Florence. Exhibited at the principal London galleries from 1867, mainly at the R.I. and R.A. Elected R.I. 1877. Lived in London for many years and died on 9th April 1923 aged 85.
